We met at 14 in rural Michigan, both made All-State, and have been a team ever since. Danielle built a nursing career while running a household of six through 14 years of military orders. John graduated from West Point and served as an Army officer. At nearly every duty station we bought a fixer-upper, rebuilt it ourselves and sold or rented it before the next move.
