We know what it’s like to start with a vision and build it through moves, renovations, and gradual steps working up to it. With our lived experiences and
complementary strengths, we walk alongside our clients and guide them through their real estate journey, every step of the way.

John: For my entire life, I’ve been incredibly driven and disciplined. That drive started with my humble beginnings in rural Michigan, where I was determined to create more opportunities for myself and my future family. That motivation went into my academics and football. Danielle and I met when we were 14, and both of us were named “Most Athletic” in our class and earned All-State honors. The lessons of teamwork, perseverance, and leadership have shaped our lives.
After high school, I played football at West Point and graduated in 2009 before serving as a Field Artillery Officer for 14 years. Our family moved often to places like New York, Oklahoma, Colorado, Wisconsin, Washington, Afghanistan, and more. With each move, we would buy a fixer-upper, renovate it ourselves, and either rent or sell before moving again.

Given my drive, I became a serial entrepreneur. I have flipped more than 100 houses, owned multiple fourplexes, and built a portfolio of commercial storage facilities. I have started and run several businesses, learning firsthand how challenging and rewarding entrepreneurship can be. My military background and years of experience as a business owner have honed my analytical mindset and my ability to communicate and negotiate.
Now that our family has settled in FishHawk, Florida, we have put down roots and invest in the community, not just in properties, but in service. We have four boys who love the Florida lifestyle and are thriving here. I am a commissioner for local youth football, and we are active in our kids’ schools.
’ve known Mike Beum since our days at West Point, and that friendship led us to join Red Sash Realty, a veteran-owned and operated brokerage that shares our values of service and integrity. Working alongside Danielle, we are excited to put our complementary strengths together to help others on their buying, selling, and investing journeys, because we know firsthand how impactful it can be.
Danielle: Having been together since we were 14 years old, John and I share many of the same values and a strong work ethic. I played basketball throughout school and into college, and I’ve always loved being active and involved.
With each military relocation, I balanced my career as a registered nurse with raising our four boys and helping them adjust to each new place: finding new schools, new doctors, where the best parks are, and everything in between. I found ways to make each new house and community feel like home. We would often buy a fixer upper and nearly the entire time we lived in it, we were under construction making it better to sell. It taught me a lot about the process, but also what it means for a family to undertake that kind of project.
When we settled in FishHawk, I got involved as president of the Spartans Youth Football organization that our sons played in. I discovered how much I enjoy connecting with families and sharing something I truly believe in with players and parents, but also with local businesses as I worked to secure sponsorships. It was my first real experience with sales, and I found I enjoyed the challenge of showing people why this organization was worth investing in.

In real estate, that translates to helping our clients make smart investment decisions while also getting the best deal possible. Every transaction has challenges, but we love finding solutions for our clients using years of knowledge and experience. Above all, I enjoy taking care of people as they navigate a move, serving as a true resource and advocate every step of the way.

Outside of work, we love going to our sons’ games, cheering on the Bucs and Bolts, trying new restaurants, traveling, and enjoying everything this family-oriented community has to offer!
We have been in the same shoes as so many of our clients: buying fixer uppers, renovating, selling, right-sizing, investing, and relocating. Over the years, we’ve owned more than 100 properties that we’ve flipped and 10 commercial storage facilities. That’s a lot of first-hand experience we bring to our clients. We walk you through everything, including budgeting, determining needs, writing offers,
managing renovations, handling the marketing of a home, leasing out property, and finding the best investment strategies for your current situation. We use our knowledge to help clients avoid common pitfalls, maximize opportunities, and feel confident at every stage of their real estate journey.
We also understand the nuances of transitioning a family to a new area, having gone through military relocations for years. Our goal is to be the ultimate resource for you through that transition, from helping you weigh your options and create a plan to finding the best local service providers, understanding the nuances of different neighborhoods, and settling into the community so it feels like home.
We are highly communicative, educate our clients and provide honest, no-pressure guidance, always working to help you achieve your goals. Real estate has changed our lives and now we are using what we have learned to help others do the same!
Sincerely,

Danielle Plumstead John Plumstead
